24 Mar Erika + Matt’s 50’s Style Engagement

Meet Erika and Matt.

Erika and I met several years ago when I lived in Tacoma.  I’ve gotten to watch her love story from afar and I was so happy when she announced her engagement to Matt.  When Andy and I were headed to Cancun, we first drove to Seattle to catch our flight.  We were sitting in a coffee shop, caffeinating before we left, and I looked out the window and saw Erika!  She was walking by with a friend and to my surprise, they were just talking about wedding photos!  It was an amazing moment to bump into each other!  And before we knew it, we planned to have a wedding consult which turned into an engagement session before we left town!  It was perfect timing!

I must say, are they not SO adorable?  This whole 50’s inspired session was their idea!  They picked all of the locations and their outfits were perfection.  I photographed them at several different locations around Tacoma, WA.  My favorite was Shake, Shake, Shake, a small 50’s themed diner with handmade milkshakes, burgers and fries.  It was perfect for our session!

Erika and Matt were a complete dream to photograph!  Look at their electric love!  It’s so obvious to me in all of their facial expressions and how they look at each other.  I could not be more honored or excited to be photographing their wedding in June!
