20 Mar A Trip to Cancun + 4 Years of Marriage
Andy and I got married on February 23, 2013. It had snowed that whole morning and then the sun made an appearance just in time for our photos. We laughed like crazy the entire day as we celebrated with our friends and family. Then we left for a cabin in the snowy woods adjacent to a big frozen lake for our honeymoon. It was a dreamy winter wedding!
After our first anniversary trip to Sandpoint, when we were walking around downtown with extremely high winds and freezing rain pelting us in the face (not fun!), we made a pact to travel somewhere warm at least once every five years. And THIS WAS OUR YEAR!
Our friend Mike is a travel agent (go follow him on Instagram @mikestravelpics) and he set us up with an amazing trip! We told him we were debating between a cruise and an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. He sent us several amazing options within our budget and we decided on Cancun! I was extremely excited for our trip, but knowing that Mike had taken care of all of the details, I didn’t take a lot of time to think about it. Is that weird?? I knew I had a lot of work to do before we left, so I just focused on my work and let Mike take care of all the details. It was THE best. We got there and we just got to relax and enjoy it all! I could go on and on about how amazing it was to have booked our trip through Mike! Seriously friends, contact him to book your next trip! You won’t be disappointed! Ok, I digress…
I am extremely lousy at photographing my actual life, so I was determined to take out my camera at least a time or two on this trip. I captured some images of the lovely beach we were on and the market that was across the street from our hotel. I love markets! I always try to go to a market in the different countries that I’ve been to. The colors in Mexican goods and clothing are so extremely beautiful! I couldn’t get enough of it all!
Until next time Cancun! I’ll be dreaming of you……..
I had to include a photo of the Starbucks that was across the street from the hotel because it made me laugh!
