07 Dec Friendsgiving 2016
In 2014 Andy and I hosted our first Friendsgiving. We were living in an old house in downtown Coeur d’Alene with high ceilings, beautiful built-ins with glass doors, big windows that flooded each room with light. We knew we would be moving out of that house shortly before Thanksgiving, so we wanted to host a Thanksgiving dinner with some of our friends before we left. It was the first turkey I had ever made and our first “Thanksgiving” dinner that we had hosted as a married couple. Friendsgiving was so fun that we had to keep it up!
As a photographer, I often forget to pull out my camera to photograph my actual life. So for Friendsgiving, I took advantage of my clean house, pretty flowers arranged by my little sis, and the most beautiful (and delicious) pumpkin cake made by one of my clients and dear friends. At the end of the evening I put my camera on the coffee table, set the timer and snapped a quick picture with our friends.
I forgot to take a photo of the turkey before Andy carved it!
